Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager (Product Security) to oversee security efforts for software applications and products. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of customer data by leading secure design and development practices. Your expertise will drive the identification and mitigation of security risks, and you will collaborate with various teams to maintain a strong security posture across all products.
Salary: 220-230k base + 20% bonus + RSU's
Logistics: 4 days per week on site in NYC
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Hire, mentor, and grow a team of security engineers, fostering talent development through feedback and performance reviews.
- Lead the Secure Design and Implementation function, ensuring all products are developed with robust security measures.
- Gain a deep understanding of security requirements and industry best practices to guide secure development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to ensure secure design and implementation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage a security engineering team responsible for safeguarding software products and applications.
- Develop and implement secure software development lifecycle processes and procedures.
- Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, continuously applying new insights to improve the organization's security practices.

- In-depth knowledge of software engineering practices, including coding, maintenance, architecture, and how to integrate security into each phase.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with cloud-native applications and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, React).
- Proven track record of leading teams in secure software development, from design to implementation.
- Experience managing multiple security teams, including engineers and architects.
- Expertise in modern security practices, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, and secure coding principles.
- Ability to manage and coordinate cross-team efforts to achieve security objectives.
