QA Automation Engineer
Hampton North is partnering with a a global leader in the Cyber Security SaaS space, having been voted "Best places to work" and 10 hottest SaaS startups. We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer for the center of excellence in Austin, TX. Start up experience is a major plus as you'll be working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. You'll be part of an exciting and growing Technology team focused on product development. You will be hands-on involved in the entire Software Development Life Cycle. We are implementing DevOps Principles in our CI/CD Pipeline.
Compensation: $135,000-$155,000
Logistics: Austin, TX (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
- Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including test planning, automation development, execution, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to convert requirements into effective test cases and automation strategies.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for backend APIs, frontend interfaces, and infrastructure components.
- Design, execute, and manage test cases to ensure system coverage, performance, and reliability.
- Drive process improvements by identifying testing inefficiencies and implementing innovative quality assurance solutions.
- Analyze performance metrics, logs, and defects to detect and resolve potential system issues.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing for seamless deployments.
- Maintain documentation of test plans, processes, and results to support team knowledge sharing and quality standards.
- Promote best practices in quality engineering, ensuring testing approaches are reusable, maintainable, and efficient
Tech Stack: Typescript/Javascript, Playwright, AWS, Docker, Terraform, Datadog, Jenkins
And what you need to have:
- 4+ years experience in QA/Automation Engineering
- Ability to write clean test scripts in Javascript (Playwright tests)
- Strong CI/CD experience - integrating automated tests into deployment processes
- Expert level at building and maintaining automated test frameworks for APIs, webs interfaces etc.
